Join me for this free beginner-friendly session where I'll introduce you to the beautiful art of brush calligraphy and help you get started from scratch. Whether you've never picked up a brush pen before or you're simply curious about the process, this is the perfect place to begin.
During this one-hour session, you'll learn:
• What brush calligraphy is and how it differs from other lettering styles
• The basic tools and supplies you'll need
• How to hold and control your brush pen
• The fundamental brush strokes that form the foundation of every letter
• Simple tips to help you practise with confidence
This class is:
• 100% beginner-friendly
• Easy to follow, even if you've never used a brush pen before
• Live online, so you can learn from the comfort of home
• Designed to help you build confidence from the very first stroke

Tools You'll Need Before We Begin
A brush pen - I recommend the Tombow Fudenosuke Soft Tip Brush Pen.
Paper is just as important as your pen. Please avoid standard copy paper, as it can damage your brush pen and make practice more difficult.
I recommend either:
• A Rhodia dotted pad - perfect for practice, with smooth paper and helpful dotted guidelines.
• Smooth 120gsm printer paper if you'd like to print worksheets in the future (just check your printer can handle this weight).
