Easter Cards - Brush Calligraphy and Watercolour Workshop
24th March/ Tuesday/ 12pm - 2pm (GMT, UK time)
Replay available
Slow down, unwind, and enjoy a peaceful two hours of creativity as we design and paint three beautiful Easter-inspired cards using watercolour and brush calligraphy.
In this guided, follow-along workshop, I’ll take you step by step through the full process - from painting soft spring florals and gentle seasonal backgrounds to adding expressive brush lettering and finishing touches that make your cards feel extra special.
During the class, we’ll explore:
✦ Watercolour techniques for painting delicate spring blooms, washes and layered details
✦ How to choose a fresh, uplifting Easter colour palette that feels soft and cohesive
✦ Adding brush calligraphy to create meaningful seasonal messages
✦Simple ways to add finishing touches with highlights, texture, and subtle gold details
✦ Tips for layout and composition so each design feels balanced and complete
This workshop is ideal for anyone who already has some experience with brush calligraphy and a basic understanding of watercolours, and would love to bring the two together in a calm, supportive setting. Everything is taught clearly, so you can relax and enjoy the process.
You’ll finish the class with three hand-painted Easter cards - perfect for gifting, sending to loved ones, or keeping as little works of spring art.
This is a donation-based session (pay what you can), making it accessible to everyone who’d love a gentle creative reset and some time just for themselves. Please choose the amount you’re comfortable paying from the button above.
Upon booking, you'll receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link, so you can join us from the comfort of your own home.
A REPLAY OF THE CLASS WILL BE AVAILABLE IF YOU CAN’T MAKE IT LIVE - You can watch and create whenever it suits you.
TOOLS YOU’LL NEED FOR THIS CLASS:
Watercolours - you can use any paints you like. I love this Van Gogh palette as well as this Gansai Tambi paint set.
Watercolour paper - try to go for good quality paper, 250 - 300gsm weight if possible. I love this A4 Winsor and Newton paper pad.
Brushes - Round pointed brushes will be the best. If possible have a few different sizes ready, maybe a size 6, 8 and 10. This is my all time favourite brush - you’ll be able to paint most elements in this size.
2 pots of water
A pencil, eraser and ruler
Paper towel
A mixing palette - plastic or ceramic, you can also use a ceramic plate.
Fine tip brush pens - I recommend Pentel Brush Sign Pens in black (+ any other colours you’d like to use)
A fineliner pen
Gold watercolours to add a bit of sparkle (optional) - I love Coliro Pearlcolours but any other ones will be ok too.
If you have any questions about the tools, please get in touch at hello@creativefeeldesigns.com
I’m looking forward to painting with you!
