Join us for a relaxed and inspiring half-day retreat by the sea, combining seasonal floristry and loose floral watercolour painting in a beautiful seafront setting.

We’ll begin the morning with a guided floristry session led by local florist Tash from Floating Lily Flowers, where you’ll create your own natural summer vase arrangement using seasonal flowers and foliage. You’ll learn simple techniques for arranging flowers in an organic and effortless style, while enjoying a calm and welcoming atmosphere.

After a short lunch break, we’ll move into a loose watercolour painting workshop inspired by the bouquet you’ve created. This session is designed to help you slow down, enjoy the process of painting, and explore florals in a relaxed and expressive way.

Alina will guide you step-by-step through brush control, colour mixing, petals, leaves and floral shapes, helping you build confidence with watercolour techniques while creating your own final floral composition on paper. The workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as anyone wanting a creative afternoon to unwind and paint.

Working with flowers and watercolour can be such a calming and mindful process - a chance to slow down, notice colour, texture and movement, and spend a few hours creating purely for enjoyment. This retreat is designed to feel relaxed and welcoming, whether you come alone, with a friend, or simply want to carve out some creative time for yourself by the sea.

As you arrange your flowers, you’ll explore natural shapes, layers and seasonal colour palettes before translating them into loose expressive watercolour. Rather than focusing on perfection, the painting session encourages you to enjoy the process, experiment freely and build confidence with gentle guidance throughout.

You’ll leave with:
