Join me for a focused and inspiring evening in Brighton, designed for those who already have a basic understanding of dip pen or have taken my beginner workshop, and are ready to take their skills to the next level.

This intermediate workshop is perfect if you’re comfortable with the fundamentals and would like to refine your style, improve consistency, and explore more expressive techniques. We’ll begin with guided warm-up exercises to loosen your hand and revisit key strokes, helping you build confidence and control.

From there, we’ll move into more advanced techniques, including developing beautiful flourishes, improving letter connections, and creating balanced, flowing compositions. You’ll also have the opportunity to experiment with metallic inks, adding a striking and elegant touch to your work.

A special part of this session will be learning how to create your own calligraphy ink - a fun and rewarding process that you’ll be able to continue exploring at home.

Throughout the workshop, I’ll provide individual guidance, feedback, and creative tips to help you refine your lettering style and overcome any sticking points.

By the end of the session, you’ll leave with new techniques, fresh inspiration, and a deeper understanding of how to continue developing your calligraphy practice.
