This very beginner-friendly, step-by-step workshop has been thoughtfully designed for anyone wanting to slow down, try something new, and enjoy a mindful creative experience. Whether you’re completely new to calligraphy or returning to creativity after a break, you’ll be guided through each stage at a comfortable pace with plenty of encouragement and support throughout.

We’ll begin by getting familiar with the tools and learning the foundations of modern calligraphy, including how to assemble and use your dip pen, control ink flow, and create the essential strokes that form modern lettering.

Through calming warm-up exercises and carefully designed worksheets, you’ll gradually build confidence practising letters, words, and flowing phrases before creating your own hand-lettered greeting cards and gift tags to take home.

We’ll also explore beautiful coloured inks and simple decorative details to help personalise your pieces and make the experience feel playful, creative, and inspiring.

This workshop is suitable for both right-handed and left-handed beginners.
